{"id":64263,"date":"2020-03-24T17:49:24","date_gmt":"2020-03-24T17:49:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/arq.trigger.pt\/?p=64263"},"modified":"2020-03-27T13:44:27","modified_gmt":"2020-03-27T13:44:27","slug":"arquiled-presents-prototype-of-autonomous-solar-led-luminaire-llesa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/arq.trigger.pt\/en\/arquiled-presents-prototype-of-autonomous-solar-led-luminaire-llesa\/","title":{"rendered":"Arquiled presents prototype of Autonomous Solar LED Luminaire (LLESA)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\"><p>[vc_row type=&#8221;vc_default&#8221;][vc_column offset=&#8221;vc_col-lg-12 vc_col-md-12&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;64233&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221;][vc_row_inner css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1553525255072{margin-top: 0px !important;padding-top: 0px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_inner][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>Arquiled presents prototype of Autonomous Solar LED Luminaire (LLESA)<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_custom_heading text=&#8221;<b>Developed to light up regions of the globe where street lighting is non-existent or deficient, LLESA uses the sun as an exclusive source of energy and incorporates a smart management system that optimizes the solar energy capture and controls the luminous flux<\/b>&#8221; font_container=&#8221;tag:p|font_size:18|text_align:left&#8221; use_theme_fonts=&#8221;yes&#8221; css=&#8221;.vc_custom_1585242460946{padding-bottom: 40px !important;}&#8221;][vc_column_text]<strong>Light where there is no electricity, from a clean and renewable source.<\/strong> This is the purpose of <a href=\"\/en\/llesa-web\/\">LLESA<\/a>, the <strong>Autonomous Solar LED Luminaire<\/strong> developed by Arquiled as part of an <strong>R&amp;D Project<\/strong> involving the collaboration of two universities specialized in Engineering &#8211; <strong>Instituto Superior T\u00e9cnico (IST) de Portugal<\/strong> and <strong>Escuela Colombiana de Ingenier\u00eda Julio Garavito.<\/strong> IST&#8217;s collaboration was the responsibility of Prof. F\u00e1tima Montemor, namely in the development of <strong>battery technology<\/strong>, while the Colombian university agreed to install the <strong>prototype<\/strong> of the luminaire on its campus, where it is currently under monitoring and<strong> testing in tropical latitude.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ideal for application in <strong>areas with high solar radiation<\/strong> throughout the year and where the <strong>power grid infrastructure is inexistent or scarce<\/strong>, LLESA is a <strong>fully integrated monobloc design luminaire <\/strong>that produces electrical energy through the use of\u00a0 <strong>photovoltaic panels<\/strong> and stores it in <strong>NI-Co*<\/strong><strong> hydroxide batteries<\/strong> for later use.
